1. Contract Details


Contract Title: Rehabilitation including the relevant infrastructure, in the Beshbish area a. Met Elserag canal (Canal-B-11), length of 10.55 km. b. El Sawaqi El Kebar canal (Canal-B-12), length of 2.40 km.

Contract Description: Rehabilitation of the following canals in the Beshbishh area:
a.Met Elserag canal (Canal-B-11), including the relevant infrastructure covering a length of 10.55 km.
b.El Sawaqi El Kebar canal (Canal-B-12), including the relevant infrastructure covering a length of 2.40 km.
The scope of work includes:
1.Dry pitching and concrete lining for Met Elserag and El Sawaqi El Kebar canals;
2.Concrete upper toe parapet (fence) of lining in residential areas;
3.Construction of Mesqa intakes including the steel gates;
4.More details about the specification, volume of works and principal quantities are set out in the BoQ and specification.

The contract price is of 59,646,817.19 EGP [Fifty-Nine million, six hundred and forty-six thousand, and eight hundred and seventeen EGP and 19/100 of EGP excluding taxes. Taxes will be financed by the local fund. Taxes values are as follows:
- 5% of the contract price which is equivalent to 2,982,340.86 (two million and nine hundred and eighty-two thousand, and three hundred and forty Egyptian pounds and 86/100 of EGP), representing value added taxes VAT
- Approximately 9% of the contract price, which is equivalent to EGP 5,368,213.55 (Five million and three hundred and sixty-eight thousand, and two hundred and thirteen Egyptian pounds, and 55/100 of EGP), representing all other charges including social insurance, commercial and industrial profit tax, and stamp taxes etc, however, the final exact taxes deduction ratio will be identified based on the final payment certificate.
