Contract Title: Consulting services for preparation of conditions and terms of awarding more bus and minibus lines to private companies under the existing regulatory framework

Contract Description: Transport sector regulations are currently in place at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also there are regulations at the level of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Canton Sarajevo, but they do not sufficiently regulate the main aspects of traffic in urban conditions. For the purpose of improving traffic in urban conditions, the Client has engaged the Consultant for preparation of conditions and terms of awarding more bus and minibus lines to private companies/operators under the existing regulatory framework. Namely, relevant existing regulatory framework prescribes which lines can be awarded through public invitation, and the same refers to new lines and lines which are “stopped with operation” with current operator due to non-maintenance.
Indeed, in order to select private companies on certain lines of public passenger transport in the Sarajevo Canton, it is necessary to determine the criteria for evaluating methodology and other conditions prescribed by relevant law(s), for determining the ranking of companies registered in the future public invitation.
